Neeta Lulla From humble beginnings to becoming a leading force in the fashion industry, with Four National Awards from the Presidents of India . Neeta Lulla has established herself as one of India’s most celebrated designers. With over 400 films to her credit and a top 10 ranking in bridal couture, her journey over the past four decades is truly remarkable. She has collaborated with top directors, both nationally and internationally, on iconic films such as *Lamhe *, Khuda gawah, Hum dil de chuke sanam, Devdas, and Jodhaa Akbar Her designs have graced the wardrobes of almost all the famous stars, to name a few Sridevi, Aishwarya Rai, Sushmita Sen , Kangana Ranaut ,Shilpa Shetty, Hrithik Roshan and more. As a couturier, she celebrates 40 years in fashion, maintaining her position as one of India’s top five bridal designers. Neeta’s collections, showcased at numerous fashion weeks, often highlight messages of women’s empowerment. Her work seamlessly blends Indian and international elements, making her brand globally relevant. She remains the only Indian designer to be invited to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as a jury member for the Oscars. Throughout her illustrious career, she has earned over 125 accolades—from the prestige of the Best Costume Designer award at Cannes Film Festival to the honor of having ‘Neeta Lulla Day’ declared in Austin, USA. On top of that global recognition, she is the only Indian designer to have received four National Film Awards for Best Costume Design—for the films Lamhe (1991), Devdas (2002), Jodhaa Akbar (2008), and Balgandharva (2011) Neeta Lulla’s journey has been defined by her unwavering dedication to creativity and beauty, and as she continues, her work will undoubtedly inspire future generations of designers.
