He also serves as a Non-Executive Board Member at Inextricable Group Tech, contributing to strategic oversight, ROI-led transformation programs, and regional growth initiatives in APAC. Previously, Vineet was Chief Information & Digital Officer at Essar EET Fuels (UK), where he set the digital transformation agenda, developed enterprise-wide IT and technology strategy, strengthened cybersecurity across IT and OT layers, and leveraged global capability centres to accelerate execution. He was also responsible for the UK businesses of Hydrogen, Retail, and Terminals, serving on the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). At Vedanta, as Group CDIO & Deputy CEO (CoE), he led group-wide Digital, IT, and Innovation functions, established Vedanta Corporate Ventures, and built Centres of Excellence in Asset Optimisation, Quality, and R&D to embed operational excellence at scale. He was also a member of the Executive Committee (ExCo), contributing to strategic business decisions at the highest level. As Group CDO at JSW, he defined the company’s digital vision, launched new digital platforms, and implemented advanced analytics, IoT, and control tower solutions across steel, cement, and energy businesses. Earlier, during his 17 years at General Electric, Vineet held global and regional CIO roles with multiple GE businesses and played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s Global Capability Centre (GCC) strategy in India, building a 900+ member Data & Analytics CoE that delivered enterprise systems, analytics platforms, and global transformation programs for multiple GE businesses worldwide.
