Distinguished Academic Leader: Prof. (Dr) Anil Kashyap is the first President and Chancellor of NICMAR University, with over 28 years of experience in academia, research, and practice in India and internationally.

Expert in Built Environment Research: Specializes in energy-efficient buildings, smart cities, urban regeneration, and infrastructure development, with extensive research funded by prestigious international bodies such as the European Union and RICS Education Trust.

Educational Background: Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra, a Master’s in Urban Planning from the School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi, and a Ph.D. from the University of Ulster, UK. He is also a Harvard University alumnus in Higher Education Leadership.

Leadership Roles: Previously served as Head of School at UWE Bristol and held leadership positions at Coventry University and Ulster University before joining NICMAR.

Memberships and Fellowships: Member of RICS, London; RTPI, London; ITPI, India; and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK.

Publications and Research Contributions: Authored numerous journal articles and book chapters, with notable projects like ‘Urban Security’ and ‘Urban Regeneration.’
