Vetri Subramaniam is Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (Designate) at UTI Asset Management Company Ltd with effect from 3rd September 2025. He will take over as the MD & CEO from 1st February 2026.

Prior to this, he led the investment function as Chief Investment Officer from August 2021. He joined UTI AMC as Head of Equity in January 2017.

Vetri has over three decades of work experience. Prior to joining UTI AMC, he was Chief Investment Officer at Invesco Asset Management Ltd. He started his career at Kotak Mahindra in 1992 after pursuing PG Diploma in Management from IIM Bangalore. His experience in equity markets & investment roles at various firms includes Kotak Mahindra, SSKI, Mirae Asset Sharekhan, Motilal Oswal, and as an advisor to Boyer Allan, UK.

He is a regular media contributor and frequently speaks on investing and markets at various industry and academic forums.
