He has driven business transformation using Analytics and Data Science for 20+ years, generated significant top and bottom line benefits as a consultant and leader of internal Analytics Centers of Excellence. Dipayan expertise across multiple sectors including a heavy focus on Banking and Insurance.Dipayan is the Gen AI Node for X in India, and is leading multiple client programs using Gen AI for business transformation. Prior to BCG Dipayan used to head the Data Science & Analytics team for Myntra, India’s top fashion e-comm player. He has also held leadership positions at Flipkart, HSBC and Copia Global apart from co-founding & running an analytics services startup TEG Analytics.
Relevant Experience
1. Developed and launched a Gen AI powered employee co-pilot for an Indian PS Bank. Tool has scaled to 5,000 + daily users
2. Part of a Gen AI COE & capability build for an Indian private bank, deploying multiple use cases across collections, customer experience & marketing.
3. Created a comprehensive VRM intelligence tool for a Indian private bank, leveraging product propensities and affluence scores to identify customers in need of CX and sales support and creating a script for VRMs
4. Improved the Event Based Marketing & Re-marketing curricula for a Indian private bank using advanced analytics
5. Led the data and analytics stream for a Customer Contact Centre streamlining project at a large Indian private bank. Used advanced analytics to identify underslying customer issues and solves that would reduce customer friction and call center costs
6. At Flipkart, led the data science team for the internal Fintech providing BNPL and Cardless Credit. Created acquisition models utilizing 3P data for NTC custmers and Repayment risk model for existing portfolio customers
7. At HSBC, led the team creating Asset Liability Matching models by predicting fresh and retained deposits in various liability products , simulated for different interest rate scenarios
8. At HSBC, created cross sell and upsell propensity models for retail banking customers in NA, used for campaign targeting
