Mr. Sumantra Mukherjee is the Director Operation and Plant Head, Agriculture Business – CNH Industrial India. In his role, Mr. Sumantra is responsible for managing the plant Operation for the CNH Noida Plant which makes Tractors, Engines, Transmission, Axles and Parts, exporting to 96 countries across CNH globally. 

With over two decades of experience, he brings in relevant understanding and experience in several areas, including Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Operation Excellence, Digital Manufacturing, Product Quality, ISO, Safety.  

Mr Mukherjee, joined the company in August 2006 as Sr. Manager, Manufacturing. He has headed different functions in operations, like Production, SCM, Manufacturing Engineering, set up of Green and Brown field Projects etc. With a strong operations related background, Mr. Mukherjee has a great ability to guide multiple teams and lead them towards excellence. Under his leadership the WCM Silver plant has won several awards such as Golden Peacock, JD Power, Indian Tractor of the Year for best Product Quality and performance, and multiple awards from CII on low-cost Automation and Digitalization.  

Before joining CNH, Mr. Mukherjee has served in auto majors like TATA Motors and TAFE at various positions in manufacturing and manufacturing excellence. 

Mr. Mukherjee is a graduate from Jadavpur University and an alumnus of IIM (Kolkata).
