We are pleased to inform you that the All India Association of Industries (AIAI) was established in 1956 under the dynamic leadership of Late Shri Babubhai M. Chinai (M.P). It is today the leading association of industries serving the trade and industry.

It may not be out of context to mention that the Department of Post and Telegraph, Mumbai Region, Government of India released a “Special Cover“ of AIAI to commemorate AIAI’s 55 years of service to the trade and industry, which has contributed to the economy and industrial development of India

AIAI membership spans across a wide spectrum of industries with a strength of over 1400 active membership and over 60 affiliated regional Chambers and trade bodies with a passive membership of over 5,00,000 enterprises.

Over 70% of the membership represent the SME Sector. As SMEs are a vital component of every economy, AIAI endeavours to support and strengthen the Startups, Women Entrepreneurs, Skill Development, Green Energy, Innovation, Artificial Intelligence, Clusters, Digital Economy and also the SMEs by helping them to integrate in the global Economy. AIAI assists SMEs to accelerate their business network globally by identifying reliable business partners through our network in over 100 countries.

Our activities are directed towards facilitating and fostering SME growth through seminars, workshops, trade fairs, business meetings, trade delegations from overseas and also mounting delegations from amongst our members to other countries. AIAI provides information on domestic and international trade, investment, technology and innovation. AIAI represents members on various national and regional Government bodies and the Reserve Bank of India for redressal of their issues pertaining to its members.

AIAI has signed over 305 agreements for co-operation with International Trade Promotion bodies and Chambers of Commerce across the world. This highlights our mission to promote international trade, enhance exchange of trade related information and trade delegations, foster joint ventures and technological alliances and thus contribute towards the process of globalization.

We also had the privilege to host business meetings with International dignitaries, Senior Government Officials, acclaimed economists, bankers, high ranking business delegations from overseas.

AIAI is affiliated to UNIDO and UNCTAD and has been authorized by the Ministry of Commerce to issue Certificate of Origin. AIAI also represents as an Advisor at the WTO Ministerial Meeting in Singapore, Geneva, Seattle & Oman besides attending the WTO Forum meetings in Geneva in September every year. AIAI also represents the Employers side at ILO, Geneva as Advisor as part of Government of India delegation.

AIAI has organized a number of successful trade fairs such as Auto Expo and three-wheelers, Ind Fair, Finance & Investment Exhibition, Innovative Technologies of Manufacturing Expo (ITM) in 2008 and 2009. AIAI has also organized the biggest ever Indian Expo overseas “India Initiative 2005’ at Warsaw, Poland. AIAI co-organized the India International Maritime and Logistics Expo (IIMLE) Expo at Mumbai in association with the Indian Trade Promotion Organizations (ITPO) and supported by the Ministry of Shipping. AIAI has also organized Global Economic Summit 2010 on trade and investments, 2nd Global Economic Summit and Global Expo 2011 with special emphasis on SMEs Innovation and Technology, 3rd Global Economic Summit 2013 on Clusters in One World: Perspectives from Many Nations”, 4th Global Economic Summit 2014 on Asia Powering Global Markets: Vision 2025, 5th Global Economic Summit on “Enabling Food For All” 2015, 6th Global Economic Summit on Women’s Empowerment: “Through Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Capacity Building” 2017, 7th Global Economic Summit on Global Value Chains: Accelerating SME Growth, Development and Sustainability 2018 and 8th Global Economic Summit on ‘Services: Enabler of Growth for Trade and Industry’ 2019 in association with the Word Trade Centre, supported by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India. The Association has also organized INDIALLIA 2012 a multisector Business Development Forum/Expo based on the internationally recognized B2B matchmaking event FUTURALLIA.
