Atin has been a practitioner in the space of environmental governance for more than 28 years, dealing with environmental sanitation, solid waste management and circular economy. During his professional journey, Atin has worked extensively with non-profit organisations, the government of West Bengal and the World Bank and had the opportunity to serve key Indian Ministries and state governments. He also works with 19 sub-Saharan African nations to strengthen governance, institution-building, and system development through research, capacity-building, and advocacy. Atin is currently working with Centre for Science and Environment as Programme Director for Solid Waste Management and Circular Economy Unit and leading the circular economy drive in India and the global south.
