Shri Sarit Maheshwari is the Chief Executive Officer of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), the renewable energy arm of NTPC Limited. With over three decades of distinguished experience in power generation, he has been instrumental in driving some of India’s most transformative energy initiatives.

As CEO, Shri Maheshwari leads NTPC Group’s mission to accelerate India’s clean energy transition. With a diverse renewable energy portfolio of 7.6+ GW installed capacity, 14+ GW under construction and 9+ GW under pipeline spread across the country, he spearheads NGEL’s large-scale renewable projects, green hydrogen programs, and next-generation sustainable solutions, ensuring NGEL remains at the forefront of innovation and climate action to achieve its renewable capacity addition target of 60 GW by 2032. His strategic vision is central to advancing India’s goals of decarbonisation, sustainability, and net-zero commitments.

An alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University and IIT Delhi, Shri Maheshwari combines strong technical expertise with visionary leadership. His academic foundation and extensive industry experience enable him to guide NGEL toward pioneering pathways for a greener, energy-secure future. Under his stewardship, NGEL continues to expand its renewable footprint and champion innovative solutions that align with India’s long-term energy and environmental objectives.
