With over 25 years of distinguished experience in Human Resources, Shailesh Singh serves as the Senior Director & Chief People Officer at Axis Max Life Insurance. He is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing HR strategies that drive long-term organizational growth and transformation.

Under his leadership, Axis Max Life has been recognized as a ‘Great Place to Work’, a testament to his commitment to building a high-performance culture rooted in strong values and people-centric practices. He has championed initiatives that benchmark the organization’s culture against global best practices, while enhancing employee engagement and leadership development.

A key architect of the company’s transformation agenda, Shailesh introduced the Organization & Talent Review (OTR) process to proactively build a robust talent pipeline and succession planning framework. His focus on strengthening supervisory capabilities and embedding accountability into the people agenda has been instrumental in elevating HR’s strategic impact.

Prior to joining Axis Max Life, Shailesh held senior HR roles at GE (Energy, Supply Chain, Capital), SRF Finance, Eicher Tractors, and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). Notably, he served as Region HR Head for GE Energy across Africa, India, and the Middle East, based in Dubai, for five years.

He holds a graduate degree from Delhi University and a postgraduate degree from the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), Gujarat.
