Born in Nasik, Umang is a seasoned technology leader with over 20 years of international experience across Australia, Singapore, Germany (Stuttgart), and India. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management and a Master of Applied Science in Information Systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Umang began his journey with the Mercedes-Benz Group in 2010, joining Mercedes-Benz Financial Services (MBFS) as a Business Analyst in the IT function. He later transitioned to the Operations department, where he played a key role in driving digitization and automation initiatives. In 2013, he relocated to Singapore to join the regional headquarters, and in 2020, he moved to Stuttgart to take on the role of CIO for the AAP region, overseeing 11 markets within Mercedes-Benz Mobility (MBM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Umang\u2019s career started as a developer at a startup in Australia, where he thrived in a small team environment that fostered autonomy and empowerment. However, he soon discovered his passion for translating business needs into technology solutions and working closely with customers. This realization led him to pivot from being a technology expert to focusing on the business side of IT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
