Tapan Singhel has a rich experience of over 30 years in the insurance industry. He is one of the
\nfounding members of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance and has been with the Company for over 22
\nyears. As its MD & CEO for more than 12 years, Tapan has built the organisation to where it is today
\nwith more than 14 crore customers and a wide distribution network spanning across more than 1,000
\nlocations across the country. Customer obsession and passion to do good for the people are what
\ndrives Tapan and his success in the industry. Under his aegis, the Company has been recognised as
\none of the best general insurers in Asia.<\/p>\n
He is the Chairman of the GI-Council and Chairman of the CII National Committee on Insurance and
\nPensions. He is a Member of the Insurance Advisory Committee (IAC) of IRDAI and a Member of the
\nPension Advisory Committee of PFRDA. He is Founding Director of the newly formed Bima Sugam. He
\nis also a Board Member of the Institute of Insurance and Risk Management (IIRM). He has been the
\nPresident of Indo-German Chamber of Commerce and is now a Board Member. He is also in Governor’s
\nCouncil of World Economic Forum.<\/p>\n
He also holds the title of Honorary Professor of Practice from Chandigarh University. An avid social
\nmedia influencer, Tapan has over 6.6 lakh followers on LinkedIn and has been recognised as the
\nLinkedIn\u2019s Top Voice in India in both 2018 and 2019. His leadership has been recognized across the
\nglobe. He was recognized as Legend of Insurance by Poornima University in recognition of his immense
\ncontribution to the Indian Insurance industry. He was awarded MD of the Year at the Making India
\nEmployable Conference & Awards 2024, CEO of the Year at IDC Future Enterprise Awards India 2024,
