Mr. Nilesh Kambli, Chief Financial Officer of Star Health & Allied Insurance focusses on driving the company’s financial landscape and defining the financial objectives of the organization.  

Nilesh has a rich experience specialising in the insurance industry and joined Star Health Insurance in 2020. He has provided strategic counsel and helped navigate several transformative initiatives which have helped streamline processes, optimize efficiencies, and identify inefficiencies thereby leading to significant cost savings and increased profitability.    

Nilesh also played an instrumental role in listing the company in 2021 making it the first listed standalone health insurer. He has subsequently contributed towards the transition to IFRS, implementation of enhanced financial controls ensuring the company’s financial stability & growth.  

Prior to Star Health Insurance, Nilesh has worked in leadership roles in organizations such as ICICI Lombard, Bharti AXA General Insurance and Citicorp Finance India Ltd.     

Nilesh is a Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He is an alumnus of INSEAD Business School with a degree in Management Development. He has been honoured with the ‘Leading CFO of the Year’ title at the CII CFO Excellence Award 2024.
