CoreShield Technologies
Chandan Singh Rathore serves as the CEO and Co-Founder of Coreshield Technologies, an IIT Delhi-incubated defence-tech startup building AI powered systems for India’s armed forces and critical infrastructure. Since founding the company in September 2023, he has led its growth from inception into a recognised innovator in India’s defence ecosystem, winning the prestigious iDEX Challenge and developing flagship platforms, PULSE and NITI, which deliver real-time situational awareness and predictive analytics for enhanced national security.
Chandan’s career is grounded in over 12 years of distinguished service as a pilot in the Indian Air Force, where he rose to the rank of Squadron Leader. During his tenure, he developed deep expertise in flying operations, logistics, and mission-critical planning, serving as a trusted leader to a team of highly skilled personnel. He also led software development initiatives at the unit level, including the design and implementation of a logbook and returns system that streamlined data entry and significantly improved data accuracy across his unit.
Before founding Coreshield, Chandan worked as an Independent Consultant from 2021 to 2023, applying the strategic management expertise he gained at IIM Bangalore across projects in operations planning, business advisory, and innovation management.
At Coreshield, Chandan’s primary focus is on building resilient defence ecosystems and developing indigenous, mission-critical technologies that strengthen India’s operational readiness and national resilience. The company’s sole mission is to empower defence and civil agencies with intelligent crisis response systems that enable faster decisions, coordinated action, and secure infrastructure. Headquartered at the Research and Innovation Park, IIT Delhi, Coreshield reflects his conviction that India is at an inflection point in its capacity to build its own technological edge. Chandan holds a General Management for Aerospace and Defence Executives (GMAE) qualification from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. He is also an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla. His rare combination of frontline military experience, strategic management acumen, and deep technology focus makes him a compelling force in India’s emerging defence innovation landscape.
