Overview

From Vision to Venture: Empowering Entrepreneurs

“Entrepreneurship is about turning what excited you in life into capital so that you can do more of it and move forward with it” - Richard Branson

The 5th edition of The ET Edge “Promising Entrepreneurs” will showcase the remarkable ventures that have redefined the benchmark in their respective fields through their perseverance and commitment. This year, we will honour those ventures which have gone above and beyond to achieve a milestone.

The impact entrepreneurs have on economic opportunities goes above and beyond what is presented. Entrepreneurs drive innovations, create new job opportunities, develop new products, services and enter as well as create new markets. However, the developmental landscape for entrepreneurs proves to be challenging in a country like India.

Failures and setbacks are something entrepreneurs must overcome. Challenges, failures, and difficulties are a part and parcel of the world of entrepreneurship. One of the major challenges an entrepreneur in India faces, is the accessibility of funds and investments. The Indian Funding eco-system is not favourable for entrepreneurs and this further leads to difficulty for entrepreneurs to set up their businesses in the initial stages. Nevertheless, despite all the difficulties encountered at the many stages from beginning to end, entrepreneurs overcome such adversities and emerge as successful businesses.

Entrepreneurs play and important role in the growth of a country’s economy. They contribute to increasing the country’s national GDP. Entrepreneurs are the pioneers of growth and excellence. They are our national assets and this year, we explore how startups have endured difficulties and emerged as forerunners in their respective markets through their unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and unique ventures. In the Fifth edition of “The Promising Entrepreneurs of India” we will highlight the persistence and determination of entrepreneurs to overcome challenges and emerge triumphant.
