Deepanshu Gupta

Deepanshu is a public health advocate committed to promoting safe and sustainable mobility in India and worldwide. Recognizing road traffic crashes as a leading cause of youth mortality globally, he built India’s most prominent youth-driven nonprofit by channeling the power of meaningful youth engagement as a sustainable and cost-effective solution to address the global road safety and mobility crisis. Driven by the belief that technology and research remain critical yet underleveraged tools in this fight, he co-founded Crashfree India to tackle road safety through infrastructural audits, technological solutions and evidence-based policy reform. 

Deepanshu’s journey in road traffic safety advocacy was catalyzed by a deeply personal experience – his father’s involvement in a traffic crash. His leadership extends beyond borders, as he actively participates in diverse global youth boards to amplify youth voices and demand accountability.
