Girikumar Kumaresh is Principal Advisor Road Safety, Director for Future Mobility & Expert Accident Research at Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited. He has nearly 18+ years of experience in Advance Vehicle safety Engineering and Research, he serves as technical advisor for all the automotive safety related topics. Published nearly 50+ research papers & journals in leading journals like IEEE, SAE and owns many patents. He is key representative in Central Motor Vehicle Rule Committee (CMVR) in India, he represents India in various technical standing committee in Ministry of Road Transport for policy, legislation regulation formations. He is currently leading the data work stream in World Economic Forum (WEF) – Road safety India program, India representative for United Nation, UNECE – GRSP WP29, Board of Advisor for Indian Road Safety Campaign – IIT Delhi and Ministry of Road Transport Government of India. He played a pivotal role in commissioning and leading In-depth accident investigation project, as of today it is the only scientific road accident database in India called Road accident sampling System of India (RASSI). He also contributed as trainer in forensic investigation on accidents to National Police Academy, Hanoi – Socialist republic of Vietnam.


Girikumar holds engineering degree in Mechanical and Master of Technology in Machine Design from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) India. His qualifications are varied from an engineer, a mentor, industry leader, technology expert, an advisor to United Nations, World Economic Forum, Ministry of Road Transport Government of India and advisory to NTSC Socialist republic of Vietnam.


Since assuming the role as Principal advisor for all the automotive safety related topics within Bosch, Mr.Girikumar has spoken in numerous conference and high profile events, recently he delivered speech at the International Conference on Safer Mobility organized by Indian Road Safety Campaign, IIT Delhi in collaboration with Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), He presented his research in SIAT – Symposium on Indian Automotive Technology and won the best technical paper award, as a Key note speaker at ACMA-SIAM VDA Conference on Safer & Sustainable Road Transportation, Global NCAP Stop-The-Crash event, International Round table Vehicle Safety World Congress and Mercedes Benz safe roads International Conference.
