Tania Chakrabarti

Tania Chakrabarti is the Appointed Actuary at Zuno General Insurance, a role she has held since January 2018. She is an experienced actuarial professional with a strong background in the general insurance sector and has held leadership positions across insurance and consulting organizations.

Over the course of her career, she has held Appointed Actuary positions at Bharti AXA General Insurance, and Royal Sundaram Alliance Insurance Company Limited. She has been a member of Panel Actuaries and engaged with Agricultural Insurance Company in that capacity. Earlier, she worked as Senior Manager – Actuarial at Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Co. Ltd. Prior to joining Zuno, Tania served as Executive Director – Advisory Services at EY.

Tania has also been an Examiner for Institute of Actuaries of India for specialised General Insurance papers. She has also been a part of various Committees formed by IRDAI and have contributed meaningfully for the profession.

Tania is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI) and a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS). Her academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Calcutta University and an MS in Quantitative Economics from Indian Statistical Institute.

With extensive experience spanning actuarial and insurance leadership roles, Tania brings deep industry knowledge and technical expertise to her role at Zuno General Insurance.
