Kamal has been spearheading reputed Indian as well as multi national organisations as President & CEO for over two decades, in a career spanning over four decades. Since 2014, he is the President & Managing Director of Volvo Group in India.<\/p>\n
An alumnus of St Joseph\u2019s Academy, Dehra Dun and the IIT Roorkee, Kamal has had an illustrious career, largely in the automotive and engineering industry, with organisations such as the Eicher Group, the Escorts Group, Italian tractor major SDF India, and with Singapore Technologies Kinetics (STK).<\/p>\n
Kamal was felicitated with \u201c Bharat Ratna Sir M Visveswaraya Memorial Award 2023 \u201d by the Governor of Karnataka, and conferred with the \u2018Distinguished Alumnus Award 2022\u2019 by IIT Roorkee, as also the Kalyan Karnataka Award 2023.<\/p>\n
In 2019, Kamal was Knighted and awarded one of Sweden\u2019s highest honors in the Royal Order of the \u201c Polar Star: Commander\u201d by Their Majesties, the King & Queen of Sweden.<\/p>\n
Respected for his values\u2019 based leadership and strong ethos, Kamal is also recipient of the prestigious \u201c2019 Machinist Lifetime Achievement Award\u201d by the Times of India Group for his outstanding contribution in the field of Manufacturing. Kamal has also been felicitated as the Economic Times Inspiring CEO 2021<\/p>\n
