Ashok Goyal, joined his family road transportation business in the early 80s when he was in his twenties. This was the family business set up by his father having only two offices then, one at Bombay and other at Ludhiana. Bombay Ludhiana Roadways was run as a proprietary concern.<\/p>\n
Ashok began to look at growth possibilities and identified geographical expansion as an enabling factor for the same. He started touring the country to identify locations where company branches could be set up and also to identify and bring on board people who could manage these branches. Branches were set up initially in the North Zone and the West Zone and later on in South Zone and finally in the East Zone. The Company now has 70 own offices all over the country.<\/p>\n
It was the efforts and alternative thinking of Ashok which enabled BLR to be the first trucking company in India to get private equity funding way back in 2007<\/p>\n
Ashok gives customized and unique solutions to customers which turns out to be of cost advantage. Under Ashok\u2019s guidance BLR is ready to be customer\u2019s one stop solution for all the logistics needs. BLR now offers 3PL warehousing & Distribution along with International Freight Forwarding and Custom Clearance.<\/p>\n
Ashok has been the president of Bombay goods transport association and currently the National President of AITWA (All India Transporters Welfare Association).<\/p>\n
