Andhra Pradesh gears up to showcase its growth agenda at YES Bank and The Economic Times Global Business Summit

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Shri Chandra Babu Naidu will lead a state delegation, comprising newly appointed Chief Secretary Ajeya Kallam and principal secretaries of the key departments at the third Global Business Summit (GBS) presented by Yes Bank and The Economic Times on 27-28 March in New Delhi. As an official state partner of the summit, Andhra Pradesh will outline its growth and transformation agenda in the presence of an august gathering of high profile delegates and business leaders. With historic addresses made at the last two years’ Global Business Summit on India’s strategic roadmap, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will once again be the star attraction at this year’s Global Business Summit. The two-day summit has evoked interest across global markets and will witness a large international participation of over 300 delegates with presence from 20 countries (Australia, Botswana, Canada, China, Israel, Kenya, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, Seychelles, UK and UAE).

With an increased impetus on transformation, Andhra Pradesh has undertaken several initiatives in the past and identified high growth potential areas. With a vision to further bolster its investment attractiveness and turn the business optimism into reality, Andhra Pradesh delegates will present a strong case to global business leaders for bringing in investments in the state on the back of conducive business environment. This year’s Global Business Summit has already garnered an enviable roster of delegates from across global markets such as Peter G Hall, Vice-President and Chief Economist – Export Development Canada; Vimal Shah, Chief Executive Officer – BIDCO (Africa); Marco Gloria, Chairman and CEO – GFB (Mexico); Benny Landa, an industry pioneer from Israel with over 800 patents to his credit and Avi Luvton – Director of Innovation Authority.

 The Summit will see thought leaders and visionaries such as Dick Cheney, Former Vice President of the United States; Martin Feldstein, Former Chairman, Council of Economic Advisers; Shane Smith, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Vice Media and Lei Jun, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer & Founder, Xiaomi deliberate on opportunities and challenges in the global context.
