Asian Business Leaders Conclave 2022
Asia known as the ‘continent of contrasts’ because of its diversity of cultures, religions, languages, government, lifestyles and landscape. It is also the fastest growing economic region, as well as the largest continental economy by both GDP and purchasing power parity (PPP) in the world. Historically, the continent has borne witness to some of the world’s longest modern economic booms, starting from the Japanese economic miracle (1950–1990), Miracle on the Han River (1961–1996) in South Korea, economic boom (1978–2013) in China and economic boom in India (1991–present).
However, the Coronavirus pandemic has forced the continent along with the world to hit a pause button on growth temporarily bringing down the momentum it has been acquiring since the last decade.
