Pankaj heads all secured and unsecured verticals across Godrej Finance in his capacity as Chief Executive Officer at Godrej Capital. 

He has an overall experience of more than two decades, with an enriching experience of over 18 years in the financial services industry, including leadership roles in large and diverse organizations, across banks, in both mortgage assets and unsecured assets, liabilities divisions, and NBFCs. 

Prior to joining Godrej Capital, Pankaj was associated with Bajaj Finance Ltd., where he was one of the early team members and spent more than a decade with the Group. With expertise in launching business lines for organizations, Pankaj successfully launched the unsecured loan business including products like SME Loans, Home Loans, Loan Against Property, Personal Loans for salaried and self-employed individuals, Loans for Doctors, and Construction Finance. He started his journey as Regional Manager for Delhi, and eventually grew to the position of SME Head – Secured Products at Bajaj Housing Finance Ltd. 

Pankaj boasts of a diverse portfolio, and he started his career in the FMCG sector with Asian Paints. He, then, entered the BFSI industry with HDFC Bank where he was responsible for acquiring CASA and cross-sell products, before moving into the personal loans business. From there, Pankaj spent 7 years leading the unsecured consumer assets for HDFC and Kotak Mahindra Bank. 

Pankaj has a Post Graduate Diploma in General Management from the Emeritus Institute of Management, Singapore. He has also completed a one-year Executive Program in Sales and Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
