Amitabh Ranjan is a B. Tech. in Petroleum Engineering from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and an MBA in HR. He has nearly 25 years of experience in Civil Services. He has wide experience of Grassroot Administration including various Govt. Schemes along with Financial Management, General Administration and Capacity Building. 

Starting his early career in Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, he served as Dy. Director in Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India. He is presently serving as Registrar in Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi, a Research & Training Institution of Govt. of India involved in the Capacity Building of Civil Servants in various fields.
