Kuntal Sur is an Advisory Partner with PwC in India and leading the Financial Risk & Regulatory Practice. He has over two decades of experience across continents as an Economist, Banker and Risk Management Consultant on risk strategy, governance, policy, processes, analytics and reporting. He is leading multi competency projects like Basel 3.5, LIBOR Remediations, IFRS 9 and 17 implementations.

In the past Kuntal was part of KPMG, Oracle, ICRA and ICICI Bank. He has authored a chapter in a book “Managing Illiquid Assets: Perspectives and Challenges” published by Risk Books, London.

Kuntal holds B.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Economic from Calcutta University and Master’s degree in Economics with specialization on Econometrics from Delhi School of Economics.

He is also FRM (GARP) charterholder and completed executive courses on “Digital Transformation” from University of Berkeley and “Advanced Business Analytics” from University of Cambridge.
