Sanjay Rohatgi has recently joined as VP and Country GM for India & SAARC and will be responsible for driving transformative growth for the company in the exciting India SAARC region. He believes that India poised to see phenomenal IT led disruptive growth in the age of AI led transformations.
Sanjay is an Industry veteran and his experience spans more than 35 years within IT Industry with Cohesity, NetApp, Symantec and Cisco. He has led APJ for majority part of his career and has been able to drive transformative growth for all companies he has worked for. His career spans sales, business development, product marketing and services.
Sanjay leads with growth mindset and is a true servant leader. He passionately believes in people and creates an environment for people to thrive, grow and deliver big.
Prior to Arista, Sanjay was at Cohesity as Group VP and of their APJ business and was based in Singapore. Under his leadership the business doubled in less than a year.
Just prior to joining Cohesity, Sanjay was responsible in driving massive growth for NetApp in the APJ region. As SVP and GM of that business he led phenomenal growth for NetApp APJ both for primary data storage solutions and Cloud storage solutions. This role required driving sales across all markets in APJ, managing strategic partnerships, driving intelligent marketing and driving customer centricity, the most important facet of the role.
Prior to NetApp, Sanjay served as SVP & GM for Symantec in Asia Pacific, responsible for leading sales, business operations and development. Symantec business grew multi fold in four years he led the business.
He has also held various senior leadership roles with Cisco in APJ, Indonesia and in India and spent nearly a decade with Cisco.
Prior to Cisco, Sanjay worked with Nortel Networks in Hong Kong, Telstra and BHP Billiton in Australia, and British Telecom Research Labs in the UK.
Sanjay completed the coveted Advanced Management Program (AMP) from Harvard Business School (Boston) in May 2022. He has a MBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Australia, M.Eng. in Opto-Electronics from University of Strathclyde in UK and B.Eng. from NIT India.
In his spare time, Sanjay is passionate about yoga and advises a few startup companies on how best to scale in the APJ market. He loves to travel and meet people from diverse backgrounds. He is a big proponent of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging and believes in inclusive growth.
