Shailesh leads the Climate Change & Sustainability offerings for Consulting at Deloitte South Asia.  He has over two and half decades of hands-on experience in the domain with more than a decade of experience being instrumental in establishing successful advisory services for the big 4 including the biggest pure-play sustainability consulting firm in Australia, New Zealand, and India. He also played a key role in supporting Deloitte Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore practices. He has led large scale GIC transformation in the Energy and Resource and Financial Services sector. 

Shailesh is an expert in fugitive emissions in Energy and Resources sectors and tech-enabled Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) solutions. He specializes in making a business case for sustainability, focusing on value creation through the lenses of natural, human, social, and financial capital, as well as impact measurement.  

Shailesh served on the TCFD (Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures) scenario analysis panel, led the development of fugitive emissions guidance in the mining and metals industry in Australia, and more recently, he spearheaded the development of India’s first assurance standard for sustainability. 

An Indian Australian, he calls Sydney home, is a UNSW Sydney alumnus, lifts weights and practices taekwondo regularly and is a dedicated family man.
