Senior Vice President and Head, TransUnion’s Global Capability Centers

Debasis Panda is the Senior Vice President and Head of TransUnion’s Global Capability Center (GCC) network spanning multiple locations. He is responsible for the overarching GCC strategy and operations, focused on delivering next-gen, best-in-class capabilities across technology, operations, and other shared services. In his current role, Debasis drives a follow-the-sun model that expands TransUnion’s time-zone and language coverage, supporting the business worldwide in making trust possible in the modern economy.

Debasis has played an instrumental role in establishing and growing TransUnion’s GCC network from a 20-employee, in-house center in
Chennai, India to a global, multi-capability network over the last 5 years, employing more than 4,500 employees.

Debasis has more than 25 years of experience in IT services in global leadership roles, setting up GCCs, development centers, and managing global delivery with P&L responsibilities.

He previously held several global leadership roles including IT delivery, vendor management and strategic planning at TransUnion. Prior to joining TransUnion, Debasis was a Vice President and part of the leadership team at Dun & Bradstreet ADC, overseeing the center’s technology programs. Prior to that, he held several leadership roles at Wipro Technologies, including leading portfolio management for strategic accounts. Prior to Wipro, he was a Senior Engineering Manager at First Consulting (a CSC company) where he played an instrumental role in setting up the healthcare verticals in India. Debasis also held various positions at Satyam Computers, Deutsche Software, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW), as well as the Steel Authority of India (SAIL) where he started his career.

Debasis holds a bachelor’s in engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from the Xavier Institute of Management. He is also a National Talent (NTSE) scholar.
