Nirupa is the Jt. Managing Director at Brigade Group, one of India’s leading real estate developers. She has spent the past 14 years of her career overseeing the company’s Hotel, Office and Retail portfolios.  

She set up Asia’s first real estate accelerator called Brigade Real Estate Accelerator Program (REAP) an initiative to mentor high-tech start-ups in real estate in 2016. 

Nirupa has a serial entrepreneurial bug in her and has successfully conceptualised and set up multiple award winning F&B outlets such as HIGH Ultra Lounge and Glass Kitchen & Bar, in Bangalore. She launched Brigade’s flexible workspaces brand called – BuzzWorks in 2019. 

Prior to joining Brigade Nirupa worked as a Senior Business Analyst with Ernst & Young LLP in the New York and North Carolina offices. She has bachelor’s in economics from the University of Virginia and a Masters of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University.  She graduated on Deans List and as Vice President of her class. 

Nirupa is passionate about writing. Her articles are regularly published in the news and trade journals. Nirupa is a regular speaker at various top tier forums, conferences and think tanks. She is also a two-time TEDx speaker.  

Nirupa has won multiple awards and has been recognised as a CNBC Young Turk and Economic Times (ET) 40 under 40. 

She is a fitness enthusiast regularly participates in triathlons. She completed the gruelling Ironman in Copenhangen earlier this year. Nirupa is the mother of two daughters aged 8 and 3 years.
