Izabella Koziell is Deputy Director General of the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), based in Nepal, and the first woman to hold this position. She leads strategy, programme delivery, business development, results and communications, across the institution. With over 25 years of experience across CGIAR, DFID, IIED, and LWS, she brings deep expertise in climate, biodiversity, environment, and development—bridging policy, science, and implementation to drive impact in the Global South.
