Srinidhi Rao leads ‘Pioneering Grain-to-Glass (G2G) Sustainability’ agenda for Diageo India and heads the Sustainability function with a focus on creating sustainable value across the Company operations, supply chain and communities. In this role, he is responsible for successful execution of G2G sustainability projects, its alignment with Diageo’s ‘Spirit of Progress’ ESG action plan and implementing programs across our supply chain that bring business value while fostering positive social and environmental impact.  

With over 15 years of experience, Srinidhi has developed expertise in areas critical to modern businesses, including climate change risk analysis, supply chain ESG risk management, responsible sourcing, GHG emissions inventory, and circular economy strategies. His experience spans various industry sectors, with a specialization in ESG disclosure, strategy, climate and water risk management and product life cycle assessment (LCA). 

Before joining Diageo, Srinidhi held senior roles in Marico Limited and WayCool Foods, where he led the Sustainability function. Additionally, he has extensive experience as a Sustainability and Climate Change consultant, having worked with prominent firms such as Frost & Sullivan and Emergent Ventures India. 

Srinidhi holds a master’s degree in Energy and Environment Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. He has also completed certifications in Integrated Reporting (KPMG), Climate Action Program (CAP) 2.0 (CII), Advanced Training in Green Supply Chain (CII), and Sustainable Finance (UNITAR), further strengthening his capabilities in sustainability leadership.
