Asheesh Pandey
Shri Asheesh Pandey has a progressive professional career spanning more than 24 years and over these years have handled a diversified portfolio ranging from Credit, Credit Monitoring, Treasury & Merchant Banking, Foreign Transactions & Joint Ventures, Marketing & Customer Relationships and Banking Operations.
Shri Pandey is a Mechanical Engineer (Hons) with Post Graduation in Management (Hons) with specialisation in Finance & Marketing. He is Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers also holds NSE Certification in Insurance (both Life & Non-Life), Mutual Funds & De-mat Operations. Shri Pandey also undertook Executive Leadership Course and is an alumnus of IIM, Bangalore.
Shri Pandey started banking career from Corporation Bank at its Industrial Finance Branch, Mumbai and later served at its Investment & International Banking Division, Mumbai. During the initial years of his career at Union Bank of India, he was project manager of the team that established Bank’s Insurance and Mutual Fund business.
He has, further, worked at Bank’s Industrial Finance Branch, Mumbai and then headed SARAL (Specialised Credit Processing Cell) of the Bank at Mumbai before taking over as Head of the Chairman’s Secretariat of the Bank. With career progression, he led Rajasthan State as Regional Head (Deputy General Manager), Jaipur and catered all businesses with all round performance.
On his elevation to the post of General Manager, he took up the role as Head of Credit Monitoring and Restructuring Department of the Bank during which the department had a complete overhaul in terms of monitoring & management of bank’s credit portfolio by deploying data analytics, various novel tools like Predictive Modelling, Robotic Process Automation and Machine Learning.
Shri Pandey, on his elevation as Chief General Manager, took up the challenging role as the Chief Operations Officer (COO) of the amalgamated entity during which the various process re-engineering, harmonisation, automation and digitisation taken place. During the period he led the team implementing novel technological concepts like Whatsapp Banking, e-Nomination, Online Death Claim Settlement Portal, Cheque Book Tracking, Churn Model (Predictive Analysis for CASA Dormancy), Video KYC, Robotic Process Automation in many operational processes, Implementation of Door Step Banking, Digital Document Execution, Digi Connect Branches (Digital & Cashless), My Diary Portal (Bank’s Intranet Portal for all data needs), Positive Pay System, Automated 360 Degree Account Statement along with many others.
Shri Pandey has been a key constituent in the bank’s leadership team that led the recent amalgamation as well as digitisation exercise in the bank.
He was also earlier Nominee Director on the Board of PSB Alliance Pvt. Ltd. floated by IBA with select Public Sector Banks.
Shri Asheesh Pandey joined as Executive Director in Bank of Maharashtra on 31.12.2021.
At present he is also the Chairman of The Maharashtra Executor & Trustee Co. Ltd., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of Maharashtra.
