Dr. Aditya Gupta works as the COO for the Supply Chain Management Center, one of the centres of excellence at IIM Bangalore. He also heads the newly constituted TCI IIMB Supply Chain Sustainability Lab at IIM B. Dr. Aditya Gupta was a supply chain practitioner before becoming a supply chain teacher. 

He worked in the corporate world for 23 years, occupying various positions of responsibility in organisations like Tata Group, TVS Group, Jindal Group, Virgin Mobile and Moser Baer, before completing his PhD in 2019 and shifting gears from corporate to academic. 

Dr. Gupta is deeply passionate about sustainability and has developed tools like the Transportation Emission Measurement Tool and Carbon Accounting Tool to measure emissions. He collaborates with organizations to establish environmental stewardship initiatives, enhance supply chain sustainability, and promote ESG practices through research papers, case studies, and articles.
