Aloke Bhuniya is a seasoned leader with over 26 years of extensive experience across Real Estate Investment & Development, Private Equity, and M&A advisory. As the Chief Executive Officer of Ascendas Firstspace, he spearheads the company’s vision of developing next-generation industrial and logistics infrastructure to power India’s economic transformation. 

A recognized thought leader in the industrial real estate domain, Aloke has played a pivotal role in shaping the sector’s growth trajectory in India. Prior to joining Ascendas Firstspace, he spent over nine years at the Everstone Group, where he held key leadership roles at both IndoSpace and Everstone Capital. As Managing Director of IndoSpace Capital Advisors, Aloke led strategic investments and large-scale developments across India, overseeing the rollout of over 4.5 million sq. ft. of industrial parks. He committed more than USD 300 million in equity to support the development of approximately 14 million sq. ft., with a total project value exceeding USD 1 billion. 

At Everstone Capital, he managed investments exceeding USD 300 million across mixed-use real estate developments, driving projects spanning nearly 12 million sq. ft. with a cumulative outlay of over USD 1 billion. His expertise spans end-to-end investment lifecycle management—from opportunity identification and financial structuring to development oversight and successful exits. 

Earlier in his career, Aloke was part of the investment banking teams at Ernst & Young and SBI Capital Markets, where he led multiple cross-border and domestic transactions, including acquisitions, fund-raising, divestments, and takeovers across diverse industry sectors. 

Aloke holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Jadavpur University.
