Jonathan Cheung, is an enthusiastic senior Financial Services, Procurement & Supply Chain practitioner/mentor, and with 39+years working experience across Asia Pacific /US /UK /Europe/Canada (20 countries).

He has deep experience advising senior management at leading institutions on business/process/technology related challenges as well as in-depth practical experience on Information Technology, Financial and Procurement & Supply Chain Processes.

Jonathan is currently the General Manager, Asia for the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), in this role, Jonathan is responsible for the expansion of the CIPS community and membership base, as well as the promotion of CIPS for Business products & services, CIPS qualifications, and skills training programs across 20+ Asia countries in the near and medium term. Having proudly supported CIPS as a volunteer for the past 11 years and serving as the CIPS ASEAN Advisor over the last two years, this opportunity is both an honour and a significant milestone in Jonathan’s journey with CIPS. Jonathan has been the CIPS Chair of the CIPS Excellence in Procurement & Supply – Asia Awards for the past 5 years.

Jonathan was the Principal Advisor & Head of Digital Procurement Advisory for BDO Singapore; the CEO of the ESG Institute which is a 1st Professional Institute that is focusing on the ESG devise standards and professional development; the Executive Director/Regional Head of Citibank Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Services covering the 17 countries across Asia Pacific. He has been working for MNCs including companies: EDS, American Express, PwC Consulting, CAPCO, HP, and KPMG as their senior Financial Services Industry (FSI) Global/Regional Director.

Jonathan is currently a Chartered Fellow (FCIPS) of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS); licensed CIPS Procurement Excellence Programme (PEP) assessor; certified trainer/assessor of the CIPS Corporate Awards & Procurement Skills Training Program; a Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS) & Chartered IT Professional (CITP); the certified CITP assessor of this Professional Programme (Global), governing by the British Computer Society (BCS), the Chartered Institute of IT, UK. He is also the Fellow of the Supply Chain Asia (FSCA) & Senior Member of the Singapore Computer Society (SMSCS).
