His expertise in Logistics, Supply Chain, and CRM, coupled with a remarkable journey from Retail to E-Commerce to pioneering State-of-the-Art Logistics at Hindalco, gives him a unique depth of understanding.

Before joining Hindalco, Sukanta was the Chief Operations Officer at Aditya Birla Online Fashion where he was one of the founding members who was pivotal in setting up the entire back-end operating system and infrastructure from scratch to scale for the fastest concept-to-launch fashion portal abof.com. In the past, he has worked in organisations like Safexpress Pvt. Ltd., Bennett, Coleman and Company Limited, Videocon Industries Limited, Reliance Big Entertainment, Network 18 Group, etc.
Sukanta is an active member of various industry bodies and has been part of the CII Council of Logistics. He has also represented the industry to work with the government in framing the recent National Logistics Policy. His achievements in business have earned recognition at various reputed platforms, the most recently being awarded by ET as ‘India’s Impactful Supply Chain Leader’ at the Supply Chain Management & Logistics Summit in June’2024.
He did his management in Logistics from IISWBM, Kolkata. Sukanta is married to Soumi a former corporate professional and now a teacher. Their only son, Saarnav is pursuing his passion to make a profession in Sports Journalism. Sukanta is a car enthusiast and loves to drive his family on road trips, traveling across the country.
