GCCs 2024

Charting the Path to a Radiant Future: GCCs Leading the Way

Global Capability Centers (GCCs)

Overview

Global Capability Centers (GCCs) encountered indirect cost limitations from their parent organizations and faced demand pressures to continue operations in unconventional situations. This prompted a heightened focus on expediting technology projects. Recent research indicates that 54% of new ventures primarily concentrated on digital services offered by GCCs. Through virtualization, GCCs have effectively expanded their talent pool without being constrained by geographic boundaries.

According to a recent report, the global capability center market will potentially grow to USD 60-85 billion in the following five to six years. The influence of the pandemic on the development of these centers, however, is still unknown.

In the last decade, GCCs have evolved from back-office operations into value-added, business-critical operations that drive global functions. Where they previously concerned themselves with overseeing support functions’ operations and IT support, now many GCCs have matured into owning these processes for parent organisations, running their R&D centres, driving product innovation and building e-commerce capabilities. A study by Deloitte summarises this transition – GCCs have matured along two axes, bringing in more business-critical scope of services and taking more end-to-end ownership of these services.

In recent times, GCCs are working on the following fields to improvise their services-

Enhancing investments in Technology
Employee intake & upskilling for specified skills like AI/ML etc
Offering a Higher Value Proposition to employees
Adopting a Hybrid Working model
Enhancing the Cyber Security Apparatus

GCCs driving Innovation

It is an indisputable fact that Global Capability Centers (GCCs) play a pivotal role in bolstering the country’s economy. They are at the forefront of innovating numerous processes and functions, benefiting their parent organizations and creating fresh opportunities within the sector. GCCs are also nurturing a pool of talented individuals well-prepared to tackle the challenges of the modern enterprise. This well-equipped, well-trained, and well-groomed talent pool offers cutting-edge services at competitive rates, making India-based GCCs highly sought after.

GCCs Driving Innovation will bring together professionals from various industries to discuss and exchange ideas on advancing the sector.

The platform will delve deeper into understanding how the industry has achieved its success and why it is imperative for enterprises to be future-ready. This will be achieved through keynote speeches, fireside chats, and panel discussions.

In this edition, we will honor the GCCs that have overcome obstacles and advanced through their foresight, determination, courage, and insight. Additionally, this event will serve as a robust platform for cross-sector engagement, knowledge analysis, and shared learning, accelerating progress through proactive collaboration for scalable outcomes.

Agenda

GCCs are Global Hubs of Digital Skills and Delivery. Their processes are being driven by the amalgamation of workers and infrastructure that handle a wide gamut of services and deliver it on time to their parent organisations. This digital transformation has proven to be a source of competitive advantage for many businesses and is leading the way in redefining the traditional way of doing businesses.

  • Expanding Digital footprint of parent companies
  • Automating end to end processes
  • GCCs as Incubation centers

Come join us in conversation with ______ to understand the sustainable functioning of cloud technology and the impact of cloud computing and carbon reduction strategies to enter a net zero future. Learn about environmentally safe and compliant disposal alternatives for retired equipment, online asset management tools and customized billing for cost allocation.

  • Is the cloud environment friendly for SMB’s?

The operations of GCCs greatly impact the overall functions of the parent companies and decide the course of action with regards to a variety of functions and processes. To ensure that the functions are managed well, it is important to empower designated employees to take important decisions at the right time. When this autonomy is given and employees are empowered, new leaders are discovered who take the organisation forward.

Compared to previous years, there have been a surge in data breaches caused by remote work and a loss of private information as a result of cyberattacks. Due to initiatives for digital transformation, hybrid working models, deceptive campaigns, ransomware assaults, and deepfake technologies, among other things, this threat is anticipated to grow. GCCs need to be conscious of these dangers and make sure that the appropriate solutions and safeguards are in place to thwart them without interfering with regular business operations.

Effective strategies for mitigating risks and managing crises within Global Capability Centers (GCCs) are paramount. This session highlights the importance of proactive risk identification, resilient crisis management, and fostering a culture of preparedness. GCCs must navigate challenges with agility, turning crises into opportunities for growth and maintaining operational continuity.

With the enhanced role of GCCs, it is important to automate and streamline activities to smoothen the entire process. GCCs today aren’t only limited to a single activity or process, their roles and importance have grown manifold and so has the need to implement transformation in processes.

  • Hire to Retire, One Stop Employee related solutions
  • Streamlining Finance activities
  • Risk Mitigation by employing latest tools and techniques
