Is a queer DEI professional based in Mumbai, India, she has over 8 years of experience in communications and LGBTQ advocacy. She currently is the Associate DEI Manager at Pride Circle. She has worked in non-profits, the culture sector and start-ups and this varied experience has left her with a rich insight into building inclusive work cultures. She has designed DEI content and communications for India and the U.S. and has witnessed it create social impact. She uses this experience to inform her other social justice work.
As advocacy manager at The Humsafar Trust she managed over 100 cases of discrimination and violence against the LGBTQ community and documentation of these crisis interventions were part of a petition to read down Section 377. She also was part of the collective that organized Mumbai Pride and managed productions for Mumbai Pride for 3 consecutive years.
Their work has featured in the BBC, Vogue, Vice, The Telegraph, Reuters and she has spoken at international forums like the International AIDS Conference and the International Conference for Human Rights Education. She holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Studies from SOAS, University of London, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Sophia College, University of Mumbai.
