An ET Edge Initiative

Neil Parag Parikh
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PPFAS Mutual Fund

He holds a Masters in Business Administration from IESE Business School, Spain and a BA in Economics from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

He has been exposed to various verticals within the realm of Capital Market for nearly two decades. These include wealth management, research, institutional equities, marketing of financial services, operations, stockbroking, key client management, etc.

He began his career as an intern with JM Morgan Stanley in 2003 and has been associated with Parag Parikh Financial Advisory Services Limited since July 2004. At PPFAS Mutual Fund, apart from handling key client relationships, he was also entrusted with the fulfillment of strategic responsibilities.

He was appointed as the Fund’s Chief Executive Officer in May 2015- amid most trying circumstances – following the untimely demise of the Fund’s Founder Mr. Parag Parikh.

Since taking over the reins, he has adroitly navigated the Fund through its turbulent as well as scintillating phases, displaying a maturity which belied his youth. Today, a diverse range of stakeholders within the mutual fund industry admire him for helming one of India’s fastest blossoming Funds.

Keeping with his father, Parag Parikh’s avowed belief in ‘The Law Of The Farm’ – which reminds us of the principle that all good things take time – he too is a strong proponent of ‘calibrated growth’.

Besides being a student of the school of value-investing, he also attempts to apply the precepts of behavioral finance, both, in his life as well as in investing.

His passions include reading and golf. You may also find him trying his hand at a few other outdoor sports at times.
