Dr. Prasanna Kumar Subbanna is the Vice President of Global Safety at Novo Nordisk Global Business Services in Bangalore.

He has a distinguished career spanning over 20 years in the healthcare industry both as a physician-researcher and a management professional.

As the VP of Global Safety, Prasanna provides leadership to the research and development activities in India, steering a team of more than 1000 colleagues.

Prasanna joined Novo Nordisk in 2007 and has since held various leadership positions in Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Quality functions. In his successful career in academia and industry, he has contributed to a variety of projects related to basic and clinical research.

Prasanna has been passionate about technology in healthcare and has been instrumental in driving several initiatives including the Innovation Garage in Novo Nordisk GBS to support partnerships with the start-up ecosystem and academia. Most recently, Prasanna led MoU between GBS and the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore.

Prasanna holds a medical degree from Christian Medical College, Vellore, and an Advanced Management Program from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
