Dr. Anandini Dar is Associate Professor at the School of Liberal Studies, BML Munjal University (BMU). She received her PhD in Childhood Studies from Rutgers University USA, her MA in Sociology from La Trobe University, Australia, and her BA (H) in English Literature from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi, India. She has 17 years of teaching and research experience across academia and the development sector. Her areas of research intersect childhood studies, development studies, sociology, education, and feminist studies. She has published in international peer reviewed journals and handbooks on the topics of children’s rights, political agency of youth, migration and development, de-colonialisation of childhood and of the curriculum. She has recently co-edited two books: “Childhood and Youth in India: Engagements with Modernity” published in 2023 by Palgrave Macmillan and “The Routledge Handbook of Childhood Studies and Global Development” published in 2025 by Routledge UK.
