The GCC Revolution: India at the Helm

India has firmly established itself as the global leader in the rapidly growing GCC (Global Capability Centers) ecosystem. Currently, the country is home to over 1,700 GCCs, which employ nearly 1.9 million professionals and contribute an impressive $64.6 billion in revenue to the economy. This dynamic sector is on a fast track to surpass $105 billion by 2030, with projections indicating that over 2,400 GCCs will be operational across the country. India’s strategic positioning as the nucleus of this transformation underscores its pivotal role in shaping the future of global business services.

At the Heart of Hyderabad: The Next GCC Chapter

The ET Edge GCC Summit has long served as the definitive compass guiding the evolution of India’s Global Capability Centers (GCCs). Across editions in Delhi, Pune, and Bangalore, and with a strong legacy in Hyderabad, we have consistently shaped industry narratives, sparked strategic dialogue, and enabled meaningful cross-sector collaborations.

We are now proud to announce the highly anticipated 9th Edition of the ET Edge GCC Summit in Hyderabad. This is not just another milestone, but a decisive convergence in one of India’s fastest growing innovation hubs.

Hyderabad, here’s why:

At the center of this growth surge is Hyderabad, a city that has rapidly emerged as one of India’s most advanced capability ecosystems with:

More than 300,000 professionals employed in the GCC sector, contributing to nearly 15 percent of India’s total GCC talent base (NASSCOM Hyderabad Ecosystem Report, 2024)

A record-breaking 13.1 million square feet of office space leased in 2024 (JLL India, Q1 2025 Real Estate Market Outlook)

A 17 percent share of leasing among India’s top cities, marking a 52 percent year-on-year growth (CBRE India – Office Leasing Trends 2024)

GCCs accounting for 41 percent of total leasing in Q1 2025 alone (1.6 million square feet) (Colliers India – Quarterly Market Insights, 2025)

& by 2030, the GCC sector is projected to scale to $105 billion, with more than 2,400 centers employing over 2.8 million people. (Zinnov-NASSCOM GCC India Landscape 2023)

Andhra Pradesh: Powering the Future of IT, GCC & Innovation

Andhra Pradesh, widely known as the “Gateway to the East,” has emerged as a strategic hub for global trade and manufacturing. Its prime location on the eastern coast makes it a natural bridge to East and Southeast Asia, positioning the state as one of India’s most attractive investment destinations.

The state’s connectivity advantage is unmatched: 3 of India’s 10 industrial corridors run through Andhra Pradesh, supported by 6 world-class operational ports (including the major port at Visakhapatnam) and 6 airports. With 4 new ports and 4 additional airports underway, the state is rapidly strengthening its logistics backbone while also pioneering opportunities in the Blue Ocean Economy, leveraging its vast coastline for maritime trade, fisheries, and renewable ocean energy.

Andhra Pradesh is also fast becoming a center of innovation. Initiatives like Quantum Valley and the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub are shaping a dynamic ecosystem, while Visakhapatnam—branded as the “Blue Edge of IT & Innovation”—hosts global IT and GCC leaders such as TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies, Cognizant, Wipro, ANSR and Adani.

Fueling this growth is a robust talent base. The state is home to 3 Central Universities, 20 Central Autonomous Institutions, 25 State Universities, 4 Deemed Universities, 5 Private Universities, 250+ Engineering Colleges, and 300+ Diploma Colleges. With 71% of its population in the working-age group, Andhra Pradesh offers a steady pipeline of skilled professionals for industries of the future.

Cities like Visakhapatnam and Tirupati combine strong social infrastructure with cost advantages—20-30% lower than Tier-1 cities—making them highly attractive for investors seeking scale and efficiency.

At the helm of this transformation, the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) is driving investor-friendly reforms and innovation-led policies, reinforcing the state’s position as a preferred global investment hub.

Andhra Pradesh is more than an economic engine—it is a cultural and industrial powerhouse that harmonizes its rich heritage with bold strides into global opportunities.
