Ganesh Chaturthi has always been a festival of devotion, joy, and community. This year, it is also becoming a celebration of responsibility. Under Planet Buddy, in collaboration with Scrapji, are bringing sustainability to the heart of the festivities — ensuring that every prayer for prosperity is matched with an action for the planet. Working hand in hand with local pandals, collection boxes for festival waste are being installed to encourage responsible disposal. Scrapji will take charge of collecting and segregating the materials, ensuring they reach upcyclers who can turn waste into resources, and discards into creations of value once again. This effort is about more than managing waste; it is about honoring both faith and the future. It is about ensuring that our traditions live on in harmony with the environment, leaving behind beauty, care, and compassion rather than waste. This Ganesh Chaturthi, we celebrate Bappa while embracing sustainability — a step that strengthens both our planet’s wellbeing and divine celebrations for generations to come.
