Chella Pandian Pitchai has over 25 years of diverse experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and CRO industries,. Currently, at Biocon Biologics, he heads Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Culture, Talent and Learning. Previously, he served as Head of HR for Merck/MSD across multiple countries, focusing on organizational transformation and talent development.

Chella is renowned for promoting women’s networks, mentoring women leaders across 15 countries in Eurpoe and Asia Pacific  and China and speaking at global DE&I and leadership forums on Unconscious Bias and Unstereotype.

He has also worked on Next generation network in Malaysia and Singapore towards Millennial and GenZ development initiatives, earning recognition and awards for his contributions, including list of  most admirable Indian leader and global HR leader award

Chella is actively engaged in sustainability through impact weighted accounting and ESG efforts.

Additionally, he is involved in the India Women Network in CII- Karnataka Chapter, advises in G100 Diversity & Inclusion, and has received multiple HR leader awards. Chella is a certified Discovery-Insights and Strength Coach and is pursuing a Doctorate in HR at the Swiss School of Management. He also serves as the President of Rotary Bangalore Health City, showcasing his commitment to community engagement and leadership.

Recently,   he was invited by UN women to speak in Asia Pacific forum in Manila about Women Empowerment Principles of the United Nations as part of best practice sharing. Current he is pushing his doctorate in Sustainability through AI in Swiss school of management.
