Shri Venugopal Mothkoor alias Venu is currently a Senior Specialist at NITI Aayog in the rank and status of Director, Government of India. An experienced policy professional, Mr Venu is currently leading the energy modelling work at NITI Aayog wherein he works on exploring the clean energy pathways for India to reach net zero by 2070 while ensuring that such pathways are inclusive, secure and sustainable. Venu is an alumnus of the London School of Economics, National University of Singapore and Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Pilani. His professional writing includes multi-dimensional poverty, energy transition, smart cities, digital agriculture and climate change.
