Akash Deep is a sustainability expert and registered architect and urban designer with over 16 years of experience in advancing green building practices and water-sensitive urban development. As Deputy General Manager & Treasurer at the GRIHA Council, he plays a key role in shaping India’s premier green building rating framework, with a strong focus on water-positive design, resource efficiency, and climate-resilient habitats. 

He has led the development of innovative tools and frameworks, including water performance indices and certification systems, and has conducted extensive water audits across diverse sectors such as townships, industries, and commercial developments. Akash has contributed to policy support at state and city levels and has facilitated over 2,000 capacity-building workshops, influencing a wide range of stakeholders in sustainable design and planning.
