Brajesh Sharma is a sustainability and ESG leader with over 15 years of experience in corporate sustainability, climate strategy, ESG reporting, integrated management systems, and decarbonization across the renewable energy, cement, steel, chemicals, and manufacturing sectors. He currently serves as General Manager – Head Corporate ESG at ACME Group, where he leads the company’s ESG strategy, sustainability reporting, climate initiatives, ESG ratings, investor disclosures, and regulatory compliance.

Prior to ACME, Brajesh held leadership positions with JK Cement Ltd., Tata Steel, UltraTech Cement, and Indorama Corporation where he successfully drove sustainability transformation, ESG digitalization, climate action programs, and management system excellence.

He holds qualifications and professional certifications from prestigious institutions, including the University of Cambridge (CISL), IIM Indore, and IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. He is a GRI Certified Sustainability Professional, Lead Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001, NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) holder, COSO Certified Risk Champion, and a CII Certified Climate Action Programme Assessor & IGBC Professional.

Brajesh possesses deep expertise in BRSR, GRI Standards, Integrated Reporting (), CDP, SBTi, TNFD, DJSI/CSA, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA), Double Materiality Assessment (DMA), ESG assurance, carbon accounting, and sustainable finance. He has successfully led enterprise-wide ESG digitalization initiatives, strengthened governance frameworks, and enhanced ESG performance for listed organizations.

His notable achievements include being recognized among the ET Edge Top 100 Chief Sustainability Officers, leading significant improvements in S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA/DJSI) scores, driving award-winning sustainability initiatives, and delivering industry-leading sustainability disclosures that have strengthened investor confidence and corporate reputation.
